I would like to extend my congratulations to Jon, for passing his 5th Kyu examination. He has worked very hard over the last few months, preparing for his grading. The commitment to his training and the Dojo is very evident! I'm sure many other members of the club, need to follow Jon's example more closely.

It is fast approaching that time of year, when you need to think about the club committee. The election sheet will be posted by the tin, throughout the month of March. Final date for putting your name forward will be Wednesday 31st March, 2010. If more than one person, puts their name forward, a secret ballot will take place on Thursday 1st April, 2010. The results will be announced that night. The newly elected Chairman, will call an Annual General Meeting. This will take place as soon as possible after the 1st of April. All senior members of the Dojo will be expected to stand for the committee. No one will be asked to volunteer for any of the main places. But they must put their name forward for one of the General Committee Member positions. Lower Kyu grades are positively encouraged to apply. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the current serving Chairman. I.e. Andrew.

I would like to extend my congratulations to Brendan, for passing his 5th Kyu examination. Considering he is currently taking 12-14 GCSE's, and training for his grading I was very much impressed with the standard shown. In fact only one mistake was noted, the rest being perfect. Although Brendan is only 16, he is treated like a senior member of the club, and in turn has been graded as a senior, not a junior.
I will be posting a list of further gradings, which will be taking place within the next two months.
